Terms of Use
Effective date: May 18, 2026 Last updated: May 18, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and WEB3 SOLUTIONS LLC, doing business as OakFaith ("OakFaith," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your use of the Father's Word mobile application (the "App") and any related services (collectively, the "Service").
Please read these Terms carefully. They contain a binding arbitration clause and class action waiver in Section 17.
These Terms currently apply to the iOS version of the App distributed through the Apple App Store. If we release the App on additional platforms, we will update these Terms accordingly.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and purchase a subscription. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and are not barred from using the Service under the laws of your jurisdiction.
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly allow accounts for users under 13.
2. Your account
You may use limited features of the App anonymously. To save your subscription and sync your data across devices, you must sign in with Apple Sign In or Google Sign In.
You are responsible for safeguarding access to your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us promptly at support@oakfaith.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may delete your account at any time from within the App's Profile screen. Account deletion is permanent.
3. Subscriptions, billing, and free trials
The App offers auto-renewing subscriptions to unlock premium features ("Premium"). The currently available subscriptions are:
- Monthly subscription — auto-renews every month
- Annual subscription — auto-renews every year
Prices are displayed in the App and on the App Store and may vary by country.
3.1 Auto-renewal disclosure (required by Apple)
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time by going to your Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your Apple device.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
3.2 Free trial
If a free trial is offered with your subscription, the trial begins on the date of purchase and lasts for the duration disclosed at sign-up. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the price disclosed, charged to your Apple ID, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
A free trial is available only to users who have not previously used a free trial for this subscription group.
3.3 Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you continue to have Premium access until then.
Deleting your account in the App does not cancel your App Store subscription. You must cancel the subscription separately through your Apple ID subscription settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your Apple device).
Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple under the terms of the App Store. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
3.4 Price changes
We may change subscription prices from time to time. If we increase the price of your existing subscription, Apple will notify you and require you to consent before the new price takes effect. If you do not consent, your subscription will not renew at the new price.
4. License to use the App
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, OakFaith grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download and use the App on Apple-branded products that you own or control, and as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including Family Sharing or volume purchasing where applicable, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
This license is granted under the terms of Apple's standard end-user license agreement, as supplemented by these Terms (see Section 18).
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
- Submit prompts intended to generate content that is harassing, hateful, sexual, violent, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
- Attempt to bypass the paywall, manipulate subscription state, or use the App without an active subscription where one is required
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service or its underlying APIs
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service or any AI-generated content for commercial purposes (see Section 7 for permitted personal and ministry use)
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or the servers and networks supporting it
- Use the Service to develop a competing product or to train a machine learning model
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these rules.
6. User content
You retain ownership of the content you create within the App (your prayer entries, custom prompts, and devotion topics). By submitting content, you grant OakFaith a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, transmit, and display that content solely as necessary to provide, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service for your use.
We do not use your personal prayer entries, custom prompts, or devotion topics to train AI models, and we do not display your content publicly.
You are responsible for your content and represent that you have the right to submit it.
7. AI-generated content
The App produces AI-generated text including scripture guidance, family devotions, and personal prayers. You acknowledge and agree that:
- The content is generated by a large language model (OpenAI) based on your input. It is not authored by OakFaith and is not reviewed by us before delivery.
- The App may provide devotional, prayer, and scripture-based reflections, but it does not provide professional counseling, pastoral counseling, therapy, medical advice, legal advice, financial advice, or other professional services. If you need help with a serious personal, family, or mental health issue, please consult a qualified pastor, counselor, therapist, or other professional.
- AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, including theological inaccuracies, misattributions, or content you disagree with. Always verify scripture references against an authoritative Bible.
- Bible quotations are from the World English Bible (WEB), a public domain translation. The WEB is provided as-is; we do not warrant its accuracy.
- Use of AI-generated content is at your own discretion. OakFaith is not liable for decisions you make based on AI-generated content.
7.1 Emergencies and crisis situations
The Service is not designed for emergencies or crisis situations. If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, or if you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm, suicide, abuse, or violence, contact emergency services or a qualified crisis hotline immediately. Do not rely on the App for urgent help.
7.2 Permitted use of AI-generated content
You may use AI-generated content for personal, family, small-group, and non-commercial devotional or ministry purposes, including sharing it with family, friends, church groups, or on personal social media. You may not sell AI-generated content, publish it as a standalone commercial product, or falsely present it as written by OakFaith, a pastor, or any specific human author.
8. Intellectual property
The App, its design, code, branding ("OakFaith," "Father's Word"), trademarks, and original content (other than user content and AI-generated content) are owned by OakFaith and protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right or license to use our trademarks or branding without our prior written permission.
Bible text is currently provided from the World English Bible, which is in the public domain. We may make additional scripture text, references, or links available through third-party Bible content providers. Bible translations may be subject to separate copyright notices, license terms, and usage restrictions displayed in the App or provided by the applicable rights holder.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers including Apple, Google, Supabase, OpenAI, RevenueCat, and bible-api.com. Your use of those providers' services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services or for any data loss, downtime, or other issues caused by them.
10. Service availability and changes
We may add, modify, or remove features of the Service at any time. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts of the Service without notice or liability.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be available without interruption. The Service depends on third-party infrastructure (Apple, Supabase, OpenAI, internet access) that we do not control.
If we discontinue a paid feature you've subscribed to, we will provide reasonable notice and, where required by law, a prorated refund through Apple.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the App or by deleting your account from the Profile screen.
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if your continued use poses a legal or security risk, or if we cease operating the Service.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OAKFAITH DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED; OR THAT THE SERVICE OR THE SERVERS THAT MAKE IT AVAILABLE ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT, SCRIPTURE GUIDANCE, DEVOTION, OR PRAYER PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE. AI-GENERATED CONTENT IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE OF ANY KIND.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. In those jurisdictions, the above exclusions may not apply to you.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL OAKFAITH, ITS AFFILIATES, OR ITS LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE OR ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OAKFAITH'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID OAKFAITH (THROUGH APPLE) IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless OakFaith, its officers, members, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with (a) your use of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party, or (d) any content you submit to the Service.
15. Modifications to the Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be notified to you within the App or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any revision constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Except for disputes subject to arbitration under Section 17, the state and federal courts located in Madison County, Indiana have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim not subject to arbitration, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
17. Dispute resolution; arbitration; class action waiver
Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights.
17.1 Informal resolution
Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at support@oakfaith.app and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We agree to do the same. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 60 days, either party may proceed to arbitration.
17.2 Binding arbitration
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will be conducted in English, in Madison County, Indiana, or by video conference if both parties agree. Arbitration fees and costs will be allocated as provided under the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
17.3 Class action waiver
YOU AND OAKFAITH AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims of more than one person and may not preside over any form of representative or class proceeding.
17.4 Exceptions
Either party may bring an individual action in small-claims court for disputes within that court's jurisdiction. Either party may also bring suit in court to enjoin infringement or other misuse of intellectual property rights.
17.5 Opt-out
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to support@oakfaith.app within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms. The notice must include your name, email associated with your account, and a clear statement that you opt out of arbitration.
18. Apple-specific terms
You and OakFaith acknowledge that these Terms are between you and OakFaith only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). OakFaith — not Apple — is solely responsible for the App and its content.
You agree that:
- These Terms are between you and OakFaith only. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services with respect to the App.
- In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the App (if any) to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App.
- OakFaith — not Apple — is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App or your possession or use of the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- In the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of the App infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, OakFaith — not Apple — will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
- You represent and warrant that (a) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and (b) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
19. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and OakFaith regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision will not be a waiver of that right or provision.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms freely.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor disputes, power or internet outages, or failures of third-party services.
- Headings. Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
