Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 18, 2026 Last updated: May 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how WEB3 SOLUTIONS LLC, doing business as OakFaith ("OakFaith," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Father's Word mobile application (the "App") and any related websites or services (collectively, the "Service").
This Privacy Policy currently applies to the iOS version of the App distributed through the Apple App Store. If we release the App on additional platforms, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.
This Privacy Policy describes our data practices. By using the Service, you acknowledge that we collect, use, disclose, and protect information as described below. Where required by law, we will request your consent before processing certain information.
1. Who we are
Legal entity: WEB3 SOLUTIONS LLC (d/b/a OakFaith) Address: 313 N Walnut St, Alexandria, IN 46001-1612, United States Contact: privacy@oakfaith.app
For users in the European Union or United Kingdom, OakFaith is the data controller for personal data processed through the Service.
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to operate the Service. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
2.1 Account information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address — provided by Apple Sign In or Google Sign In when you link your account
- A unique user identifier — generated by our authentication provider (Supabase)
- Authentication tokens — issued by Apple, Google, or Supabase for the purpose of keeping you signed in
You can use the App anonymously on first launch without providing any identifying information. An anonymous identifier is created locally and on our servers so your prayers, devotions, and saved verses persist. If you later sign in with Apple or Google, your anonymous data is linked to your new account.
2.2 Content you create
We store content you create within the App, including:
- Prayer entries — titles, descriptions, status (active/answered), and answered dates
- Devotion history — the prompts you submitted and the AI-generated devotion text returned
- Scripture guidance history — the scenarios you described and the AI-generated guidance returned
- Saved verses (bookmarks) — Bible references and surrounding context you've saved
- Onboarding responses — family size, children's age groups, faith journey, primary parenting challenge, and primary goal, used to personalize AI-generated content
2.3 Subscription information
We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat receives:
- Your Apple account identifier (anonymized by Apple as an
appAccountToken) - Your purchase history, subscription status, and renewal events from the Apple App Store
- A unique RevenueCat user identifier we generate
We do not receive or store your credit card information, billing address, or full Apple ID. All payment processing is handled by Apple.
2.4 Device information
The App collects limited device information necessary to function:
- Operating system and version (to ensure compatibility)
- App version (for troubleshooting and updates)
- Locale and timezone (to format dates and schedule daily notifications)
- Notification permissions and preferences you've set within the App
If you enable daily prayer reminders, the reminder is scheduled locally on your device. No push token is transmitted to our servers at this time.
2.5 Information we do not collect
- We do not collect your name, phone number, or physical address.
- We do not collect contacts, photos, microphone audio, or camera input.
- We do not collect precise location data.
- We do not use any advertising identifiers (IDFA, GAID).
- We do not embed third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
3. Sensitive personal information
Because the App is a Christian devotional product, your use of the Service and the content you submit may reveal information about your religious beliefs, spiritual practices, family life, or personal challenges. Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Article 9, this is "special category" personal data, and under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) it is "sensitive personal information."
Where required by law, we process this category of data with your explicit consent — which we will request during onboarding, account creation, or before you submit devotional content — and only for the limited purposes described in Section 4 (How we use information).
We do not sell or share sensitive personal information, we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use it to train any artificial intelligence model.
You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account in the App's Profile screen or by contacting us at privacy@oakfaith.app. Withdrawing consent may prevent us from providing some or all of the Service. See Section 10 for your full rights.
4. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the Service — authenticate your account, sync your prayers and devotions across sessions, manage your subscription status
- Personalize AI-generated content — your onboarding responses are included as optional context when our AI generates scripture guidance, family devotions, or personal prayers, so the output is more relevant to your family situation
- Send local reminders — schedule the daily prayer notification on your device based on the time you select
- Improve the Service — use server logs and aggregate, non-identifying usage information (such as feature usage counts and error rates) to diagnose bugs, monitor uptime, and prioritize improvements. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
- Communicate with you — respond to support requests and send account-related notices (we do not send marketing emails)
- Comply with law — meet our legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Use, and protect against fraud or abuse
We do not use your personal data, prayer content, or devotion history to train any artificial intelligence model.
5. AI-generated content
The App generates personalized content using artificial intelligence:
- Scripture guidance — based on the fatherhood scenario you describe
- Family devotions — based on the age group, occasion, or prompt you provide
- Personal prayers — based on a prayer entry you select
To generate this content, the App sends your prompt — along with the optional background context from your onboarding responses — to OpenAI through our secure server (see Section 6). OpenAI processes the request and returns the generated text, which we store in your account so you can view it again later.
Under OpenAI's current API data practices, API inputs and outputs are not used to train or improve OpenAI models by default unless we explicitly opt in to data sharing. We do not opt in to that sharing. OpenAI may retain API data for a limited period for abuse monitoring, security, or legal purposes, according to its applicable policies and our service configuration.
The daily shared devotion shown on the home screen is generated once per calendar day and cached on our server. It is identical for all users on a given day and does not include any personal information.
6. Third-party service providers
We rely on the following third-party processors. Each is bound by data protection terms and processes data on our behalf:
| Provider | Purpose | Data shared | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple | Sign In with Apple and in-app purchases | Email (via Apple Sign In), purchase events | Worldwide |
| Sign In with Google | Email, Google account ID | Worldwide | |
| Supabase, Inc. | Database, authentication, serverless functions | All account, content, and subscription data described above | United States |
| OpenAI, L.L.C. | AI text generation | Prompts you submit and onboarding context | United States |
| RevenueCat, Inc. | Subscription management and entitlement verification | Anonymized purchase identifiers, subscription events | United States |
| Bible API (bible-api.com) | Public domain Bible text retrieval | Chapter requests (no account information) | United States |
Bible passage requests sent to Bible API contain only the chapter being requested. We do not send your account information, prayer content, or onboarding responses to Bible API. Because these requests are made directly from your device, Bible API may receive your device's IP address as part of the network connection.
We do not sell your personal data to any party. We do not share your personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing services, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Legal basis for processing (EU/UK users)
Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR applies, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to operate the Service, deliver subscription benefits, and provide support
- Legitimate interests — to secure the Service against fraud, debug issues, and improve features (balanced against your privacy interests)
- Consent — for optional features such as notifications (which you can withdraw at any time in your device settings) and for the processing of special category data revealing religious belief (see Section 3, Sensitive personal information; you can withdraw consent by deleting your account)
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable law, tax requirements, and lawful requests
8. International data transfers
We are based in the United States. Our service providers (Supabase, OpenAI, RevenueCat) primarily process data in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.
For users in the EU, UK, or Switzerland, transfers outside your country are made under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards required by our processors.
9. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, tax records related to subscription transactions) or where data has been anonymized so that it can no longer be associated with you.
Residual copies of deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period before being overwritten according to our backup retention schedule.
The shared daily devotion is retained indefinitely as part of the App's content library and is not personal data.
Deleting your account does not cancel any active App Store subscription. You must cancel your subscription through your Apple ID subscription settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your Apple device).
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated personal data
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Objection or restriction — object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent — where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information — California residents may request that we limit the use of sensitive personal information to that which is necessary to provide the Service (we already limit our use to the purposes in Section 4)
- Non-discrimination — we will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised any of these rights
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@oakfaith.app from the email address associated with your account. We will respond within 30 days (or sooner if required by law).
You can also delete your account directly inside the App from the Profile screen. Account deletion is permanent and removes all your prayers, devotion history, scripture history, saved verses, and onboarding data.
If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are in California, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — note that we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
11. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for adults — fathers and caregivers age 18 and older. The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will delete that data promptly.
Although the App may ask for children's age groups to personalize family devotions, we do not ask for children's names, birthdates, contact information, photos, or other direct identifiers.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact privacy@oakfaith.app.
12. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest provided by our database host, row-level security policies that ensure each user can only access their own data, and verified authentication tokens on all server-side requests.
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a security incident that affects your personal data, we will notify you and any required authorities in accordance with applicable law.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
